Play nice with the storm drain
It’s short, and it matters. Please read it before you haunt anything.
Satire & parody
Sewer Clowns are satirical parody novelty decorations made for Halloween fun and political humor. The characters are caricatures and exaggerations. They aren’t statements of fact about any real person, and nobody should read them that way.
Not affiliated with anyone depicted
Sewer Clowns and Here’s Your Sign Company are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or connected to any person, campaign, party or organization depicted or referenced. Character names are our own parody titles.
Private property only
Use Sewer Clowns only in storm drains on property you own or control, or where the property owner has said yes. That includes a private driveway apron, a private street or your own yard. Check your HOA rules and local ordinances.
Don’t obstruct public storm drains
Never place a Sewer Clown in a public, city or county storm drain or inlet, and never block, cover or narrow any drain opening or the flow of water. Storm drains keep streets from flooding. Keep the opening and the flow line clear at all times.
Weather & safe use
- Remove before heavy rain, storms or high wind, and take it down after the season.
- Adult setup only. Never climb into, lean into or reach deep into a storm drain, and keep kids and pets clear of the opening.
- Don’t place it anywhere it could distract drivers or startle people in traffic.
- Outdoor seasonal decoration. Colors may fade with prolonged sun, and printed colors may vary slightly from screen images.
